Food Poisoning? Not yet~!
Aug. 30th, 2006 01:06 amWell, in some news, our refrigerator died. It didn't break, no, and not even any signs that it was about to die. Instead, it completely died. For over 20 years of reliable service, deeming the relic older than myself, it died.
A lot of things have gone down the tubes lately. Plumbing, the stove, the fridge, microwave, electricity, inability to hold a DSL service, and other kinks. Apparently after 20 years, it's begging for an upgrade. Personally, I want to completely tear down the house and come up with something new. An idea's in my head, and instead of making it two conventional floors, like others in my neighborhood, I've been thinking of making a basement, so there could be a floor underneath. This house? No attic, no basement, and the smallest one on the block. With the upgrade, there'd be bedrooms upstairs, an attic for storage, and the basement could have a workout area, place to stay cool, and if not feeling well enough to go up, a futon. I even want to incorporate other country themes. Sliding doors, taking advantage of low beds with shelves and cabinets for storage, and making the place the best it could be.
Unfortunately, to ever start that, I'd need to win the lottery. Saa... Maybe someday, ne? We're low of the low class, and could actually use the money. Ironic part is that we don't have the money to try the lottery all the time.
So, today, or yesterday... However you wanna figure it. Either way, we went to the new Lowes by my ex brother-in-law's place. Looked up some fridges, and chose a nice cheap one. I actually have a weird issue towards ones that are shorter than I am, but this one was alright. I could still see over it, but not below my chin. No matter what, there wouldn't be trouble reaching over any fridge in my case. Ah well...
At the same time, we were looking at stovetops. Not expected, but if we ever want to think of actually getting one, that'd require knowing the measurement of the one we already have, for a proper placement. Was it bad that I was also looking at a rice cooker? I have an issue~!
xD Okay, other news...
Nothing much on other news. Well, someone is willing to trust me to manage their wig. An Inuyasha wig, for Otakon, and because I <3 the person so much, I'll be doing a pairing. What, may you ask? I don't like Kagome, and am too pale for her, but Kikyo is highly recommended by people! I'm even going to go to an archery place, to figure out what I need to get, for the right measurements and such.
That's all, got it? Now skedaddle! Shoo!
