Okay, I was planning to write up an update about how Anime Boston was, I swear. There was just the case of me never getting around to it, with my planning for Otakon; Only a month away, too! I'll let you know all about it now, then something about Otakon! Yeah, this is going to be a big one, but no worries; I remember how to do LJ cuts!

Alright, at the end of last May, I went to Anime Boston. If you're an idiot, you'd never have figured out that it was in Boston, ne? xD Well, let's start off with me habing been there with [livejournal.com profile] nolables, who's notably and lovingly called Alix.
First, I arrived there on Wednesday, having wanted to avoid my mom bitching about traveling back and forth the day before work. This came along quite well, and I think that evening was also spent watching Lost... Is it really so strange I can't recall? Thursday was spent for pre-reg, finishing up Alix's Tsunade costume, and possibly something else... Either way, we did good with that day.
Friday was our premiere, you could say. Muraki, from Yami no Matsuei, escorting around Tsunade about the convention. Now, not many really noticed we were 'together' for a joke, but one person actually voiced how unusual the pairing was. Random het, biyatches! >=D Or slash, if you went under the costumes, but we're talking about characters, so that makes no sense. Because I had to check in at Masquerade headquarters, she came and Bad Luck's K came up and offered to give her the barrel first for a game. It's a pirate VS ninja game called Catch The Barrel, which is battled out by the process of 3 janken rounds. Unfortunately, Tsunade turned down the offer. xD Oh well.
There was a point that I needed a break before the late night Anime Dating Game, which was a yaoi-yuri setting, and Alix had to leave for home. We waited, sitting all prim and proper inbetween snapping random pictures of eachother, like we owned the world. Well, at least the hotel, if anything. As she went home, I headed to a room to take a rest. First in a closet, where one of the others came in to put something away. Really, while unplanned, jumping out of the closet from nowhere was hilarious to scare the guy! xD Jump over to the Anime Dating game, hosted by the cosplay band Bad Luck. First, we had the one yuri session, which had the asking contestant turn out to be Integral from Hellsing. The bachelorettes were... Hold on, lemme see if I can remember. One was Freya from Chobits, the other Tsunade and the first one... I don't remember. o.o; In the end, Freya one, though, of course.
Then it was the second round, and we went over to yaoi. The contestant? Hakkai, in the Saiyuki Reload version, which is really just a slight costume change. I was the first bachelor, being Muraki, getting blinded on the way up! Teaches me to be a major 'yaoi icon,' or whatever, ne? Second bachelor was some kid from a gundam series, I think, but don't even remember. Third was Sephiroth, where his use of the sword was often considered 'compensation' by... Well, mostly the audience. Muraki was too reserved. I tried not to go into a giggle fit, always succumbing to one when in front of an audience or camera, but did my best to look past it all. View the action, if you wish. I just wish Hakkai put follow-up questions to my answers. That, and they switched the rounds on us, and such, which made me unprepared for some of the questions... Poor me, I had really good lines for them with preparation, too! Name dropping Oriya-kun and everything. In the end, Sephiroth one, though.
Third round was Roy Mustang, starting things off with talking to Hughes. Bachelors? Link, from Zelda, Akabane from GetBackers, and... Oh, yeah! They had the audience ask which of the hosts to take up the place. Turned out to be K, with Yuki playing host. "Don't let go" was dropped quite a bit... I was talking to the guy playing Link before, and he's pretty cool. In fact, it's the guy who was in the warning of that video. After the games, while in character, Akabane and Muraki got together for their own sadistic fun. Had to lead him away from Tsuzuki though, and sent Akabane up to Hokkaido to Yuma and Saya.

Saturday... Ah, Saturday. I was sporting some kind of mix between punk and rocker, possibly. Leather, studded gloves, vest and a theme of black and white. That, and a very nifty hat. Most of the day was spent going to panels and getting a few things in the dealers room. Mookie had a panel about Dominic Deegan, where I brought up 'Death from below' to him during the panel. Trust me, it's best not repeated too many times, and I've done so in and out of cosplay to the poor guy. I still think he has no idea that I was the Muraki from the day before. After I talked to him about how Luna seemed to be the type who'd make a good teacher, after being told that the school Mrs Deegan runs wouldn't be moving or making a new affiliation by Dominic's brother, or anything. He actually said that it was a good idea, and I may have something going on there. Well, I'm not revealing anything about the plot that he may or may not have mentioned in the panel. Just know that's he's an awesome squeeve, which no one will ever understand. Why? Because I spliced and gave it a new meaning. Trust me, though, it's a good thing. After, I went to Vic Mignogna and Steve Blum's panel. The girl next to me was really short. xD Sorry, but she was, but still cool beans, and gave them pictures. You know, after I suggested she sit on her foot for extra height, which immediately was noticed. Vic liked my hat, too, when I asked if he was disappointed about not getting to play Kougaiji in Saiyuki Reload.
After, I had went to get Vic's two CDs, which were also cool beans, that he also autographed. Actually, I talked about anticipating some stuff in music geek talk. I'm very happy, and went to the Applegeeks panel afterwards. When having waited in line, I finally met up with Alix! Tried to call her before, but the stupid ancient phone of mine had died. We had fun, including 'nipple head' which won't really be understood by others, but oh well... :P Afterwards, we headed back, where I rested up for Sunday.
Ah, Sunday, when people are said to be slowing down. Not me, though! Instead, after a quick trip to the Dealers Room, where I got seperated from Alix, the quick trip became a trap. Every few steps I heard "Muraki!," and even was clung to by an Edward and Shuiichi for a few steps. Then it was off to Anime Boston's Cosplay Chess game, where I was the shoujo's Queen-side bishop. A cushy job, if I say so myself. Not too much action for myself, though I ran into the Hakkai again, who admitted he(she) didn't choose me at the game because he(she) knew I was Muraki in the game. xD How was I supposed to know that we'd be in the same round, after asking to get a picture before the game?! I got two kills; After Raito (Death Note) killed Yuki (Fruits Basket), who was my pawn, I exacted revenge. What better way than with zombies, right? Both sides of the game that died came up and drained before devouring Kira! *insert evil laugh* My next kill was Ryouma from Prince of Tennis. Now, he was a boy, so I took special measures, but not pretty enough to give the same treatment as Hisoka. Instead, I used a spell to keep him from moving, caressed his cheek, and stabbed him in the chess before setting the boy down. *insert more evil laughter* After, Kenshin killed me when I thought we were too far for him to try such a thing. Some weird mistake, but probably a Lupin trick with moving the piece, but shoujo won anyways! Back to my losing scene... Instead of Kenshin killing me, I gave an awesome reference to the Hall of Candles about saying how my light wasn't about to be blown out, before bringing my coat around to leave in an awesome way. After, being exhausted with an elevator closing on me twice, helping move Bahamut, or whatever it's name is to the basement, Alix and I went home. (Bahamut moving was something that was supposed to be summoned by Cloud, but I have no idea what it is.)

I went home the next day, too, and still miss Alix and her parent's company. T_T They made me feel so welcome, but I felt like I was intruding too much...

Now, for Otakon. Some may know, some may not, but I'm handling the room and such. Someone dropped out, and there may be two new people taking up to split the room. Going well so far, as long as the checks come in quickly enough, while paypal is easily transferred over, to me. *shrugs* Either way, hotel news is going well.
Cosplay news, though! Most of it is Muraki, but also a Wolf's Rain cosplay as well. See, I'm going as Blue from that anime/manga, and only need to wait from Jinny, who owns this place: [livejournal.com profile] animenohouse, and she's also a squeeve, which I emphasize being a good thing. I already have blue contacts, my boots came in and are perfect, and only the need for the wig to be finished up for final touches. I may or may not be bringing my seme/uke paddle, for laughs.

Either way, Otakon progress is going well. Check out the site! Yoshiko, from the former X-Japan, will be there! This is majorly cool beans, and you should all have at least heard of X-Japan.

And lately I've been hanging out online with Danni, till it was just about dawn in my timezone. Not bad, but not the only person I've been around. xD Going to the movies quite a bit as well, having went to... Oh shit, what did I see? Oh yeah! X-3: The Last Stand, which had some good points and some bad. Mostly good, though, because the others weren't knowledgable on X-men, but wanted to see and followed along pretty well. We're going to see Pirates of the Caribbean when it comes out, too.
People have been coming by like mad, too! A couple of times this month, my nephew Kenny, who's maybe 25, apparently is married and his wife is with twins. Like, woah. Bigger shocker was that they currently were living a couple of blocks away!

I think it was last week, but my brother Freddy came over as well with Frankie, who's a cousin. Not a long visit, but enough for me to hide after he brought out the camera. X.x I climbed a tree, but was in a tank top and shorts, so going down had me get scraped up a bit. Now, I don't climb trees often, but typically while wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, so I wasn't prepared for this happening. xD (Don't climb much, but when I do, I get the mission accomplished.) We did our usual teasing and stuff, before I ran back inside and locked everyone out of the house, before he made his way back down to North Carolina.

Now, today, I'll be going to lunch to see my sister Nancy and our grand-niece Amber, who's like 11, or whatever. It doesn't seem like much, but really, she lives in Florida, so it's a big thing when she comes up. So after that, we'll be heading to Estelles, which is a Dress place to pick up a dress for this wedding next week. Nothing big, but I already have an idea what I wanted to get. So that should be simple. That, and I also wanted to deposit some money at my bank. (I recently went to a better account so I can use it for Otakon's hotel stuff.)

So that's basically the gist of things, so I hope someone actually reads about this. xD At least I finally got around to all of this. Ja, minna-san!

No, Aya. It is no longer strange you can't remember things. We know you can't. :B

ZOMG, stop the torturing with X-Japan! You're so mean!

You have a big family too.
